I’m Kim, and I’ve been a passionate photographer for more than 15 years.

Over the years, I’ve captured stories with wonderful people from all walks of life — women and men, couples, babies, children, families, friends, and teams.
Each session has been a deeply enriching experience — a chance to connect, observe, and celebrate authenticity through my lens.

My Journey Into Photography

My journey began with curiosity and a deep love for visual storytelling.
I first explored photography on my own — experimenting, learning by doing, and discovering my creative voice through hands-on experience.

During my semester abroad in Athens, Ohio (USA), I formally studied photography at Ohio University, where I took courses in both photography and photographic history.
I also completed a practical project in analog film development and darkroom techniques, which gave me a profound appreciation for patience, process, and the magic of light.

After returning to Germany, I deepened my craft through professional training.
I studied with the renowned Berlin photographer Felix Rachor, who taught me the artistry of portrait and model photography, and refined my technical skills at the Fotoschule Leipzig.

I’ve also had the joy of teaching photography as part of the Athens Photo Project, sharing the creative process with students and helping them discover their own perspective through the camera.

My Bachelor’s thesis explored the origins of documentary photography during the Great Depression in the USA — a topic that strengthened my love for honest, story-driven imagery.

My Philosophy

For me, photography is more than creating images — it’s a mindful practice of observation, empathy, and presence.

Guided by Montessori principles, I approach every project with curiosity, patience, and deep respect for individuality.
Every person has their own rhythm, their own story, their own light.

I aim to create a calm, authentic space where you can simply be yourself, allowing real emotion and natural beauty to shine through.
Each shoot is a heartfelt collaboration — shaped by trust, creativity, and a shared love for simplicity and detail.
